Fort Myers Boat Show 2026
Nov 12-15, 2026 — Downtown Fort Myers / City Yacht Basin
If you live in Southwest Florida and you love boats, this is your weekend. The Fort Myers Boat Show is the biggest annual boating event on Florida's west coast, and it happens right here in downtown Fort Myers every November. Hundreds of boats, thousands of people, and more boating gear than you can shake a gaff at.
For us at Fish Tale Boats, this is our home show. Our headquarters is right here in Fort Myers, and we bring our biggest lineup of the year. Whether you're shopping for your first boat, upgrading to something bigger, or just want to spend a Saturday looking at beautiful boats with a cold drink in your hand, this guide has everything you need to plan your visit.
What Is the Fort Myers Boat Show?
The Fort Myers Boat Show has been running for over five decades. It's the 53rd annual event in 2026, making it one of the longest-running boat shows on Florida's Gulf coast. Organized by the Marine Industries Association of Southwest Florida and presented under the Go Boating Florida banner, this show brings the entire regional boating industry together in one place.
And it's big. We're talking 500-plus boats from more than 130 manufacturers spread across three downtown venues. You'll see everything from 16-foot skiffs and pontoon boats to 50-foot sportfishing yachts. It's a serious boat show, not a pop-up tent sale in a parking lot.
What makes it stand out from other shows in the state? Two things. First, the in-water component at City Yacht Basin means you can actually step aboard larger boats floating in the Caloosahatchee River. That's something you can't do at a convention center show. Second, the downtown Fort Myers location puts the whole event within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and the River District. It's a great day out even if you're not buying.
The MIASWF has been supporting the Southwest Florida marine industry for decades, and this show is their flagship event. The association represents dealers, service providers, marinas, and marine businesses across Lee, Charlotte, and Collier counties.
What to Expect at the Show
In-Water Displays at City Yacht Basin
This is where the bigger boats live. Center consoles, cabin cruisers, sportfishing boats, and luxury yachts are docked along the basin so you can walk the docks and step aboard. If you've been eyeing a Grady-White Canyon 376 or a Robalo R360, this is your chance to stand on the deck, check the helm layout, and see how the boat feels under your feet. It's not a sea trial, but it's the next best thing.
On-Land Displays at Centennial Park
The park transforms into a massive outdoor showroom with hundreds of boats on trailers. This is where you'll find the widest variety. Bay boats, flats boats, pontoons, deck boats, bowriders, center consoles of every size. Walk the rows, sit in the captain's chair, open the hatches, and compare brands side by side. It's a lot more efficient than driving to six different dealerships.
Marine Accessories at the Convention Center
Inside the Caloosa Sound Convention Center, you'll find everything else. Marine electronics, fishing tackle, boat covers, dock equipment, outboard accessories, safety gear, and more. Vendors often run show-only specials, so this is a good place to pick up that new fishfinder or trolling motor you've been researching.
Seminars and Demonstrations
Most years, the show features boating safety seminars, fishing demonstrations, and educational sessions. These are free with your admission and worth checking out, especially if you're newer to boating. Topics typically cover navigation, trailering, fishing techniques, and maintenance basics.
Food and Drinks
You won't go hungry. Food vendors set up throughout the show grounds, and the River District restaurants along First Street are just a short walk from the venues.
Getting There: Directions and Parking
Driving Directions
The show is in downtown Fort Myers along the Caloosahatchee River. If you're coming from I-75, take the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd exit (Exit 141) and head west toward downtown. Follow the signs once you get close. From US-41 (Cleveland Avenue or Tamiami Trail), head toward the downtown waterfront and you'll see the show signage.
Parking
Downtown Fort Myers has a mix of street parking, city parking garages, and private lots. During the boat show, expect the closest spots to fill up early. A few tips:
- Get there early. If you're arriving before 10 AM, you'll have a much easier time finding a spot within walking distance.
- City parking garages on First Street and Main Street are your best bet for covered parking.
- Overflow lots are typically available with shuttle service to the show grounds. Check the show website closer to the event for designated shuttle pickup points.
- Rideshare is a solid option. Have your driver drop you off near Centennial Park or City Yacht Basin and skip the parking hassle entirely.
By Boat
If you already have a boat, you may be able to dock nearby and walk to the show. Check with local marinas along the Caloosahatchee for transient slip availability during show weekend. It's a fun way to arrive and makes for a great day on the water.
Tips for Visiting the Fort Myers Boat Show
Pick the Right Day
Thursday and Friday are typically the least crowded. Saturday is the busiest day by far. If you want to spend quality time talking with sales staff and sitting in boats without a line, go on a weekday. If you want the full energy and atmosphere, Saturday morning is the move.
Wear the Right Gear
November in Fort Myers is usually pleasant, but you're going to be walking a lot. Comfortable shoes are non-negotiable. Wear sunscreen and bring a hat. It's mostly outdoors, and even in November the Florida sun can get you. Bring a light jacket or long sleeve for the evening hours if you're staying late.
Have a Game Plan
With 500-plus boats spread across three venues, you can't see everything in an hour. Decide what you're most interested in before you go. Shopping for a center console? Start at the in-water displays, then walk the on-land section. Looking at pontoons for family weekends? Head to Centennial Park first. Want marine electronics? Hit the Convention Center.
Bring Your Questions
Boat shows are one of the best places to get face-to-face time with salespeople, product specialists, and sometimes even factory reps. Come with a list of questions. What's the fuel economy at cruise? How does this compare to the model below it? What's the warranty coverage? You'll get better answers in person than you will from a website.
Get Pre-Approved for Financing
If you're serious about buying at the show, don't wait until you find the boat to start thinking about financing. Get pre-approved before the show, and you'll be ready to move when you find the right one. Show pricing is often the best pricing you'll see all year, and pre-approval means you won't miss out because of paperwork delays.
Know Your Trade-In Value
Thinking about trading up? Get a sense of what your current boat is worth before you arrive. You can request a trade-in valuation from us ahead of time. That way, when you're standing in front of your dream boat at the show, you already know the numbers.

This is our home show, and we go all in. Fish Tale Boats brings one of the largest dealer displays to the Fort Myers Boat Show every year. - Grady-White - Premium center consoles and dual consoles known for their ride quality, build standards, and fishability. From the Freedom series to the Canyon offshore line.

- Premier Pontoons - Luxury pontoon boats that have changed what people expect from a pontoon. Comfortable, capable, and surprisingly quick with the right power package.
All boats at the show are powered by Yamaha outboards. We're an authorized Yamaha Key Dealer, which means factory-trained technicians and genuine parts when it's time for service.
Show Pricing and Specials
Boat show pricing is real. Manufacturers and dealers put together show-specific packages, rebates, and financing offers that aren't available the other 51 weeks of the year. If you've been on the fence, this is the time to get off it.
Talk to Our Team
Our sales staff at the show aren't just order-takers. They're boaters themselves who fish and cruise these same Southwest Florida waters. They can help you figure out which boat matches your lifestyle, whether that's chasing cobia off Sanibel, running the kids to the sandbar at Lovers Key, or cruising the Great Calusa Blueway.
We can also handle trade-in appraisals and financing pre-approval right at the show. Bring photos of your current boat if you're looking to trade, and we'll give you a number.
Stop by our Fort Myers dealership before or after the show to see even more inventory, or check our full new boat inventory and pre-owned boats online anytime.
